The BCTA is sponsoring Summer Youth Tennis again this summer.  Check out the Youth Tennis Flyer for all you need to know about this great youth tennis program.  Register by filling out the Youth Tennis Registration form.  Enroll your child for another great summer of BCTA Summer Youth Tennis.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SUMMER YOUTH TENNIS

Volunteers are needed to teach kids tennis this summer in public parks through-out Brunswick County.  You don’t have to be an expert tennis player, you just need to like kids and love tennis.  This year’s Summer Youth Tennis program will be held on six Tuesdays from 9AM to 10:30AM beginning June 17 and ending July 22.  Volunteers are needed at the following locations:  Shallotte Park, Lockwood Folly Park, Smithville Park, Town Creek Park and the Oak Island Tennis Courts. 

Scott Handback, a pro from Charlotte, will conduct a recreational coach workshop Saturday, May 31^st at Lockwood Folly Park to teach our volunteers the basics of Quickstart tennis, a new program developed by the USTA especially for introducing children to tennis.  For more information or to volunteer for the summer youth program contact Karen Holbrook by email kholbrook@ec.rr.com or by phone 253-6986.  Additional information is provided in the Recreational Coach Workshop flyer.
